'Jazzin' Around' at Oakton Community College
"Jazzin' Around," an evening of jazz standards performed by some of the Chicago area's top session players, hits the stage at 8 p.m., Friday, Feb. 8, at Oakton Community College, 1600 E. Golf Road, Des Plaines.
The show features Oakton music faculty, including Carey Polacek, who has performed throughout the U.S., Canada, and Europe. Other performers include Tim Mason; trumpeter Mark Olen, a member of the Chicago Jazz Ensemble; guitarist Frank Dawson; and percussionist Bret Sher.
Tickets are $8 and parking is always free at Oakton.
