'Jazzin' Around' at Oakton Community College
"Jazzin' Around," an evening of jazz standards performed by some of the Chicago area's top session players, takes the main stage at 8 p.m., Friday, Feb. 4, at Oakton Community College, 1600 E. Golf Road, Des Plaines.
Performing will be members of Oakton's music faculty, including Theresa Lams on woodwinds and vocals; trumpeter Mark Olen, who also performs with the Chicago Jazz Ensemble; Frank Dawson on guitar; and Bret Sher on percussion.
General admission tickets are $8, and plenty of free parking is always available at Oakton. For more information, call 847-635-2185.
