Explore
the unique habitat of Kenya on a tour offered by Oakton Community
College. Trips in 2008 depart in June and July.
Begin
your journey in Nairobi with a visit to the National Museum of Kenya.
Stop in Boystown to learn about current social issues affecting Kenyan
children. Drive across the Athi Plaines through one of the best-known
gaming parks. Visit with wildlife researchers and marvel at the sight
of one million flamingos at Lake Nakuru.
An
optional balloon safari and excursion to Tanzania are available at
an extra cost. Lower cost versions of this learning vacation are available
for the budget-minded traveler. Alternative trips include more modest
accommodations and meal packages.
Throughout the safari, participants will be immersed in the culture
and wildlife of Kenya. For additional information, contact Bea Cornelissen
