Fourth
through sixth grade students can have fun learning new concepts and
skills at Kids' College, a summer enrichment program sponsored by
Oakton Community College, 1600 E. Golf Road. A 10 percent discount
is available to parents who meet "early bird" registration deadlines.
Classes
are offered in five one-week sessions from July 11 through Aug. 8
and meet for three hours Monday through Thursday.
Courses
for youngsters entering fourth through sixth grade include Fancy
Beaded Bags (KDES 95-32), Integrating Math and Science
(KIDS 44-32), Design and Sketch Like a Pro (KDES 11-32), Design
and Construction (KDES 89-32), Squid Dissection (KYSP 96-32),
Beginning Study Skills (KIDE 91-32), Cartooning (KIDE
64-32), Mastering Fractions (KIDS 25-32), and Reading and
Growing (KIDS 45-32).
