KIDS' SCIENCE SAFARI EMBARKS APRIL 21


Enhance your child's natural interest in the sciences at Oakton Community College's Science Safari for Kids II, scheduled for 1 to 2 p.m., April 21, at the College's Des Plaines campus, 1600 E. Golf Rd. Attendance at Science Safari I is not required.

Presented by award-winning science teacher Mike Offutt, this interactive safari will introduce children to the fun of science exploration by using logical scientific principles to perform fun and seemingly magical "tricks." Offutt has performed his educational science demonstrations at the Smithsonian Institution in Washington DC, and on WGN's The Bozo Show, among others.

Tickets can be purchased through the Oakton Box Office at (847) 635-1900. Tickets cost $3 for children ages 3-12, and $4 for adults. Children age two and under are free. Group rates are available for parties of 10 or more. Parking is free.
