Singer-songwriter
Deidre McCalla performs her unique style of folk,
pop, and rock at 8 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 10, at Oakton Community College,
1600 E. Golf Road, Des Plaines.
With five critically acclaimed albums, including the recent release,
Playing for Keeps (Maiden Rock), McCalla has shared the stage
with popular artists such as Tracy Chapman and Suzanne Vega. McCalla's
words and music traverse the inner and outer landscapes of our lives,
celebrating the power and diversity of the human spirit.
Tickets
are $13 for general admission; $11 for students and seniors; and $9
for groups of 15 or more. Plenty of free parking always is available
at Oakton.
