Nonprofit professionals, volunteers, and students seeking new insights and
fundraising ideas are reminded to register for Topics in Marketing: Grantwriting
and Fundraising (MKT 290 052), offered by Oakton Community College.
The six-week class starts November 4 and meets Tuesday evenings from 6 to
10:15 p.m. at Oakton's Des Plaines campus, 1600 E. Golf Road.
Experienced
instructors and guest speakers will discuss the strategies nonprofit organizations
currently are using to generate revenue in challenging economic times. Topics
include database management, prospect research, fundraising materials, grantwriting
and management, donor cultivation, event and benefits management, and Internet
fundraising. This course is part of Oakton's new "Career Advancement Series,"
initiated this fall.
Students may
