Classes geared to students interested in marketing
as a profession, as well as those looking to upgrade current skills,
are available this fall at Oakton Community College. Courses may be
applied to a certificate or degree at Oakton.
Principles of Professional Selling (MKT 161-050) covers techniques
for developing sales presentation skills. Seven-week course meets
6:30 – 10:15 p.m., Monday, starting Sept. 8, at Oakton’s
Des Plaines campus, 1600 E. Golf Road.
New Media and Technology in Marketing (MKT 266-050) examines
the progress, potential, and impact of various forms of online marketing.
Seven-week course meets 6:30 – 10:15 p.m., Monday, starting
Sept. 8, at Oakton’s Des Plaines campus.
Introduction to Advertising (MKT 215-0V1) demonstrates the
role of advertising using practical applications. Twelve-week course,
taught via two-way video, meets 6:30 – 9:30 p.m., Wednesday,
starting Sept. 24, at either Oakton’s Des Plaines campus or
Skokie campus, 7701 N. Lincoln Ave.
Principles of Marketing (MKT 131) offers an overview
of various marketing concepts. Various 10-, 12-, and 14-week courses
are available in September at both the Des Plaines and Skokie campus.
