Learn the History of Music at Oakton

Expand your understanding of music throughout the history of Western civilization in a course this fall at Oakton Community College.

Music Literature and History (MUS 236-001) examines the styles, literature, and musical concepts of many acknowledged musical eras. The 16-week, three-credit course meets 12:30 - 1:45 p.m., Tuesdays and Thursdays, starting Aug. 24 at Oakton's Des Plaines campus, 1600 E. Golf Road. Music Literature and History is an approved Illinois Articulation Initiative Course (IAI) course for transfer to participating Illinois colleges and universities.

Register in person during summer hours, Monday through Thursday, 8:30 a.m. - 8 p.m., at the Des Plaines campus, and Ray Hartstein Campus, 7701 N. Lincoln Ave., Skokie. Students who have applications on file for the fall 2004 semester or have attended Oakton within the last three years may register online at webreg.oakton.edu, or by Touch-Tone at 847-535-1616.
