Learn the History of Music at Oakton

Explore the history of Western music this fall at Oakton Community College.

Music Literature and History (MUS 236-001) examines the styles, literature, and musical concepts of many musical eras, including the Renaissance, Baroque, Classical, Romantic, and Modern periods. This 16-week course meets 12:30 – 1:45 p.m., Tuesday and Thursday, starting Aug. 26, at Oakton’s Des Plaines campus, 1600 E. Golf Road. Course is Illinois Articulation Initiative approved for transfer to participating institutions.
