OPEN AUDITIONS FOR "THE COLORED MUSEUM" AT OAKTON


Oakton Community College's Theater Department is holding open auditions for George C. Wolfe's "The Colored Museum," a play about African-American life in the U.S.

Auditions are from 7 - 10 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 5, at the Ray Hartstein Campus, 7001 N. Lincoln Av., Skokie, and from 7 - 10 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 6, at the Des Plaines Campus, 1600 E. Golf Rd.

The play features an all black cast. Parts are available for men and women of all ages. At the audition, actors will be required to do cold readings from the scripts as well as improvisation. Performances are scheduled for March 23 and 24, and April 6 and 7.

Rehearsals for "The Colored Museum" begin on Feb. 9. For more information, call (847) 635-1420.
