Register now for Passages, the popular lecture series offered by Oakton Community College's Emeritus Program. The eight-week series meets Tuesdays from 1 to 2:30 p.m., Feb. 4 - March 25, in the Petty Auditorium at the Skokie Public Library, 5215 Oakton St.The fee to attend is $25 for in-district residents age 60 and over, and $30 for out-of-district residents and those under 60.
Constance A. Catellani, M.D., will examine conventional approaches to bone and joint problems in the first lecture, "Bone Up on Conventional and Integrative Medical Approaches to Arthritis and Osteoporosis" (Feb. 4). Other topics explored in this series include "When God Looked the Other Way," the story of Wesley Adamczyk's childhood odyssey as a survivor of Soviet deportation to Siberia during World War II (Feb. 25), and "You Can Pick Your Relatives," strategies for connecting with living relatives, with genealogist Mike Karsen (March 18).
