See Tony Award Winner 'Proof' at Oakton

Proof, playwright David Auburn's 2001 Tony Award winner for best play, will be presented March 1 - 11 at Studio One in the Performing Arts Center at Oakton Community College, 1600 E. Golf Road, Des Plaines.

Proof is a tightly-woven family drama set in Chicago with themes of love, loyalty, and madness. The play centers on Catherine grappling with the death of her father, a legendary mathematician whose once-brilliant mind had succumbed to insanity. In 2005, Proof was made into a movie starting Gwyneth Paltrow and Anthony Hopkins.

Performances of Proof are 8 p.m., Fridays, March 2 and 9; 8 p.m., Saturdays, March 3 and 10; 2 p.m., Sundays, March 4 and 11; and 8 p.m., Thursday, March 8. Tickets are $10; $8 for students and seniors; and $6 for groups of 15 or more.

A $5 preview performance will be presented at 8 p.m., Thursday, March 1; post-show discussions will be held after the Sunday performances on March 4 and 11.

To reserve tickets, call the Oakton Box Office at 847-635-1900.
