Oakton Community College makes buying or selling a home easy with its Alliance for Lifelong Learning (ALL) consumer real estate courses.What Every Seller Needs to Know Before Selling a Home (REL E17-01, Touch-Tone 03031) provides students with legal, financial, and other professional advice pertaining to the sale of their house. The class meets from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday Oct. 15 at Niles West High School, 5701 Oakton Street, Skokie. The course fee is $20.
The Hidden Costs and Potential Horrors of Home Buying (REL E19-01, Touch-Tone 02443) reveals the hidden costs and potential traps of purchasing, financing, and insuring a new home. The two-week class meets from 7 to 10 p.m. Wednesdays, beginning Oct. 2, at Maine West High School, 1755 S. Wolf Road, Des Plaines. The course fee is $49.
Students who have registered for ALL classes within the last five years, or for a credit course in the last three years, may register by using the Touch-Tone system at (847) 635-1616 or by fax at (847) 635-1448. Both methods require payment using a major credit card (Visa, MasterCard, or Discover).
