Oakton Offers Three Music Recitals in December
Oakton Community College hosts three joyful musical performances in December. These concerts are scheduled at Oakton’s Des Plaines campus, 1600 E. Golf Road. Plenty of free parking is available.
Led by Tom Clippert, the Oakton Guitar Ensemble presents an afternoon of classical, contemporary, and original music at “Classical Recital,” 2 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 7, at the Footlik Theater. Admission is free.
The Oakton Community College Choir, under the direction of Eileen Berman, presents “Choral Recital,” 8 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 11, at the Koehnline Museum of Art. Admission is free.
Director Cary Polacek and the award-winning Oakton Jazz Band, along with special guests, explore the “art of cool” at “Jazz Invasion,” 8 p.m., Friday, Dec. 12, at the Footlik Theater. General admission tickets are $5, and $3 for seniors and students.
