Oakton Offers Safari Adventure to Kenya

Experience the fertile habitat of Kenya on a tour offered by Oakton Community College. Trips in 2008 depart in January, June, and July.

The journey begins in Nairobi with a visit to the National Museum of Kenya. Cross the Athi Plaines and tour a famous gaming park, then marvel at the sight of one million flamingos at Lake Nakuru. Tour Mt. Kenya and cross the equator to Samburu Game Reserve. Throughout the safari, participants will be immersed in the culture and wildlife of Kenya.

An optional balloon safari and excursion to Tanzania are available at an additional cost. Reduced price versions of this learning vacation also are available for the budget-minded traveler. Alternative trips include modest accommodations and limited meal packages.
