Experience the flavor and history of South America’s
most elegant wines on a travel/study tour offered by Oakton Community
College. The 10-day trip departs Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2009. This tour
is led by Paul Grosso, Oakton accounting instructor and treasurer
of the Chicago Gourmet Club.
In Chile, visit Colchagua Valley, a fertile expanse often compared
to Napa Valley, and treat yourself to red wines created only in the
climate of the Andean Valley. Take in the natural beauty of Argentina’s
wine country and tour wineries featuring the country’s most
famous wine, Malbec. Finally, in Buenos Aires, enjoy the charms of
the city where the tango was born.
