Brad Sanders of Des Plaines sings “The Star-Spangled Banner” on Saturday, July 12, before a crowd of more than 15,000 fans attending the Chicago Fire vs. Toronto FC soccer match at Toyota Park. Working through the ASSIST Learning Center at Oakton Community College, Sanders, 44, successfully earned a certificate in computer aided design (CAD) in spring 2008 and is now working with his college professors to help develop a course in universal design. He also works as a consumer representative for DynaVox, the world’s leading provider of adaptive technology solutions for individuals with speech, language and learning challenges.
