See
and hear the future of folk music as the Sons of the Never Wrong
bring their unique three-part harmonies to Oakton Community College,
1600 E. Golf Road, Des Plaines, 8 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 22.
Formed
in 1992, the Chicago trio, comprised of Bruce Roper, Sue Demel, and
Deborah Lader, displays an "exuberant, optimistic approach to music-making,"
according to the Chicago Tribune. The Chicago Reader
says, "not quite neofolk, or trad folk, or folk rock . . . but somehow
all of the above." The group is currently working on its fifth full-length
recording.
Tickets
are $12 for general admission; $11 in advance and $10 for students
and seniors.
