Experience
the culture of Spain on a travel/study tour offered through Oakton
Community College. In 2005, two-week tours will depart on April 8,
June 3, and Sept 30.
Travelers
will have the opportunity to learn about the rich culture, historic
architecture, and famous artists in the town of Barcelona. Visitors
will view the unique architecture of Gaudi as they travel along the
el Paseo de Garcia, and visit the Picasso Museum to enjoy various
collections of the famous artist.
In Rute,
a rural town located in the Andalusia region, explorers will interact
with local residents during their day trip to this small community.
Highlights of this exciting visit include a visit to the Casa Museo
del Jamon, a special demonstration on the making of Anisette, a regional
liquor, and an intimate dinner with local Spanish residents.
