EXPLORE THE MANY TREASURES OF SPAIN ON OAKTON TOUR


Journey to sunny Spain on a tour offered by Oakton Community College's travel/study program. Trips are scheduled for June 7 - 20 and Oct. 4 - 17, 2002.

Enjoy a walking tour of Madrid and a visit to the Royal Palace, built by the Bourbon King Philip V. Journey to Toledo, a major center of learning during the 6th century. In Seville, visit the world's largest art museum, the Prado and view paintings by Goya, El Greco and Velazquez.

In Jerez, learn about the art of producing wine at a sherry bodega, followed by a special show of the famous Royal Andalusian Riding School. You'll have an opportunity to visit local businesses in Rute, including an olive oil producing plant and the Museo del Anis, where you'll learn about the making of Anisette, a regional liquor. A dinner with local residents will give you a glimpse into their everyday lives and customs.
