View, study, and photograph African wildlife on a study/travel safari
offered by Oakton Community College. Two-week tours to Tanzania depart
on July 11 and Oct. 24.
Explore
the Ngorongoro Crater, known as "Africa's Eden." This collapsed volcano
is home to abundance of wild game including elephants, cheetahs, lions,
hyenas, jackals, elands, waterbucks, wildebeest, and a large variety
of birds. A spectacular array of habitats, from snowcapped peaks to
grassland plains, can be seen during visits to Tanzania's many national
parks. Discover the cultural traditions of Tanzania by visiting a
local school and a Masai village. Experience Africa's magnificent
topography with an optional balloon safari.
