The Performing
Arts at Oakton will present two staged readings of Stephen Belber's
Tape on Friday, Oct. 1, and Saturday, Oct. 2.
Tape
(a major motion picture in 2001, starring Uma Thurman and Ethan Hawke)
will be presented at 8 p.m., Friday Oct. 1, in Studio One at Oakton's
Des Plaines campus, 1600 E. Golf Road. A second performance will be
given at 8 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 2, in the cafeteria at Oakton's Ray
Hartstein Campus, 7701 N. Lincoln Ave., Skokie.
Directed
by Tracey Ellert, Tape tells the story of three high school
friends dealing with unresolved issues a decade later. When the past
catches up with them, issues of trust and betrayal are brought into
the open.
