Performing Arts at Oakton Presents 'Tape'

The Performing Arts at Oakton will present two staged readings of Stephen Belber's Tape on Friday, Oct. 1, and Saturday, Oct. 2.

Tape (a major motion picture in 2001, starring Uma Thurman and Ethan Hawke) will be presented at 8 p.m., Friday Oct. 1, in Studio One at Oakton's Des Plaines campus, 1600 E. Golf Road. A second performance will be given at 8 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 2, in the cafeteria at Oakton's Ray Hartstein Campus, 7701 N. Lincoln Ave., Skokie.

Directed by Tracey Ellert, Tape tells the story of three high school friends dealing with unresolved issues a decade later. When the past catches up with them, issues of trust and betrayal are brought into the open.

All tickets are $8. For more information, call the Oakton Box Office at 847-635-1900.
