Design a Group Theater Package at Oakton

Event planners and fundraisers looking for distinctive events to offer their organization are invited to explore discount ticket opportunities at Oakton Community College. Group ticket sales are now open for three powerful dramas being staged at the Des Plaines campus during the 2003-2004 season: "Boy Gets Girl" (Oct. 10-26), "The Laramie Project" (Nov. 14-30), and "And A Nightingale Sang" (Dec. 12-21).

A group outing is a great way for people to learn more about the Performing Arts at Oakton. Here are just a few of the available options:

  • Fundraisers - Organize a theater event for your organization. Buy tickets at a discount, then sell them at a price you determine in order to raise additional revenue.
  • Parties - We'll help you arrange any type of celebration - birthday, anniversary, retirement - even children's parties.
  • Private function - Entertain friends with your own dinner/theater package. Enjoy a catered party in a private room on campus before the show.
  • "After Show" - Plan a catered reception for your group to meet the performers.
  • Discussion groups - Work with Oakton's faculty to make a thoughtful connection between a performance and the curriculum at your school, club, or organization.

Oakton features two theater venues at the Des Plaines campus: the Footlik Theater, a 285-seat auditorium-style theater with professional sound and lighting facilities, and Studio One, a casual "black box" theater with intimate staging and seating for 100 people. Studio Two, located at the Ray Hartstein Campus in Skokie, is closed during the 2003-2004 season.
