The Oakton
Community College Educational Foundation hosts its 28th annual meeting
on Wednesday, July 28, at the Glen View Club in Golf, Illinois. The
event provides an opportunity for the board of directors to recognize
Chicago philanthropist Ernest C. Wentcher, president of the foundation
that bears his name.
The 23
members of the Oakton Foundation's board will honor Mr. Wentcher for
his generosity in helping deserving Oakton students receive the support
they need to graduate and pursue meaningful careers. Mr. Wentcher
gifted Oakton with $25,000 for student scholarships.
The
dinner also serves to acknowledge the many contributions to the Oakton
Foundation by its board of corporate and community leaders, including
