Oakton Hosts Controversial 'White People' Nov. 3

A thought-provoking play on racism will be staged, 1 – 3 p.m., Monday, Nov. 3, at Oakton Community College, 1600 E. Golf Road. Presented by The Gift Theatre Company, White People, by J.T. Rogers, follows three Americans – all Caucasian – who are dealing with their individual levels of prejudice.

White People is the winner of the L.A. Drama Critics Circle Award and a Barrymore Award nominee for best play of the year.

A short panel discussion on race featuring Oakton and Harper College faculty follows the performance. Admission is free and the public is encouraged to attend.
