Oakton Board of Trustees Name New Chairman
Emory Williams of Evanston is the new chairman of the Oakton Community College Board of Trustees, College officials announced.
Prior to being named chairman on April 15, Williams served as vice chairman. Dr. Joan DiLeonardi of Des Plaines will serve as the new vice chairman and Dr. George Alexopoulos of Glenview will serve as secretary.
Trustees also include Dr. Jeffrey Rosen of Evanston; William Stafford of Evanston; Ann Tennes of Park Ridge; and Jody Wadhwa of Glencoe. The board also includes Steven Spera of Des Plaines, a student trustee who was elected to a one-year term last spring.
Trustees meet once a month at Oakton's Des Plaines campus, 1600 E. Golf Road. The next meeting is scheduled at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, May 20.
