Touching the Lives of Infants,
Toddlers, and Their Families:
Heart, Head, and Hands

Nick Wechsler

Nick Wechsler, MA, is an infant specialist and the assistant director of program development for the Ounce of Prevention Fund. A graduate of the Erikson Institute’s Infant Studies Program, Wechsler will highlight the importance of our work with very young children and their families.

Using his heart, head, and hands, he will communicate the joys, frustrations, challenges, and rewards of his work with infants, toddlers, and their families over the past 35 years. Wechsler has worked with children and families in a variety of settings, from family child care provider to mental health specialist. He has provided training nationwide on home visits, video intervention, infant-parent attachment, child development, and perinatal services. He also has published articles, book chapters, and a manual that encourages perinatal intervention to promote attachment between young parents and their infant during pregnancy.
