STEM Speaker Series Event
Presented by Andrea Blaylock, Instructor of Engineering Technology, Triton College
Give your math, science, and technology skills a work out while you design and build aquatic LEGO® robots and solve design challenges. Appropriate for students 8 years and older, this two-day workshop covers sensors, motors, drive configurations, and programming in Lego® Mindstorm®.
This program is part of a project coordinated by New Jersey’s Stevens Institute of Technology and funded by the National Science Foundation*. The goal is to design autonomous robots to monitor oil spills in the ocean. Triton College serves as a Chicago-area site for the project, providing Waterbotics® faculty curriculum training and a summer camp for middle school students.
Free for current Oakton students, employees, and their children.
All others: $25 per person before April 15, $30 April 15 or later.
