(September 28, 2015) Oakton Community College’s Margaret Burke Lee Science and Health Careers Center (the Lee Center), is featured in the September issue of College Planning & Management. Dedicated in March 2015, the Lee Center is the most substantial project in the college’s $68.5 million five-year Facilities Master Plan.

The Lee Center is home to the college’s anatomy, biology, chemistry, earth science, medical laboratory technology, nursing, physical therapist assistant, physiology, and physics programs.

In the article, the 93,000-square foot building is touted for showcasing the latest sustainable technologies.

Designed by Legat Architects and built by Turner Construction Company, the Lee Center also introduces a new breed of science educational spaces and celebrates the natural and artistic highlights of the Des Plaines campus.

The Lee Center offers a number of ways to honor family and friends through naming opportunities which range in value from $5,000 to $200,000, and provide a highly visible, timeless tribute.
