Celebrate the 60s at the Oakton Follies and support scholarships Dec. 1-2
(Nov. 22, 2016) Get your groove on at the Oakton Follies—a 60s themed amateur revue. Cheer on the brave and talented Oakton Community College faculty, staff, and administrators as they take the stage to perform music, dance and comedy routines that pay tribute to the Age of Aquarius. Performances are scheduled Thursday, Dec. 1, at 7 p.m., and Friday, Dec. 2, at 2 p.m., at the college’s Footlik Theater, 1600 E. Golf Road, Des Plaines.
All proceeds will benefit the Oakton Educational Foundation general fund and student scholarships.
“Laugh with us or laugh at us, while you reminisce about a time when rock and roll was young, AM transistor radios were the rage, and your baby could slide across the front seat of your muscle car at the drive-in movie. And, it’s all for a great cause,” said Oakton Chair of Performing Arts John Frisco.
Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for seniors and students. Call 847.635.1900 or purchase tickets online at www.oakton.edu/tickets.
