Register now for Summer

(March 8, 2017) Registration for summer classes at Oakton Community College begins Wednesday, March 22, and here’s three great reasons to take summer classes at Oakton: Get ahead or catch up on Gen-Ed requirements, save time with seven- or eight-week classes and save money when compared to cost of classes at a four-year college.

“Summer courses at Oakton put students on the fast track toward completion,” says Director of Student Recruitment & Outreach Michele Brown. “Tuition and fees are much lower than those at four-year universities, and enrolling for the summer allows you to achieve the same level of academic success at a fraction of the cost and in half the time.”

Eight-week courses begin Monday, June 5, and seven-week classes start Monday, June 12. Students may register up until the first day of a class, as long as space is available.

Summer class listings may be found online or in the “Summer 2017 Credit and Noncredit Class Schedule,” available at the Des Plaines and Skokie campuses. A schedule booklet will be sent to district residents in the coming weeks.

Students may apply and register at either campus in person Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 7 p.m. Oakton is closed on Fridays and Saturdays during the summer. Those with a current application on file may register online at my.oakton.edu. For information about the enrollment process, contact Student Recruitment & Outreach at 847.635.1835.
