University of Illinois Offers New Initiative with Oakton

The U of I – Oakton Pathway to the Bachelor’s Degree initiative enables students to enroll at Oakton for one or two years and then transfer to the Urbana-Champaign campus.

“There is more than one path to earn a bachelor’s degree,” said Margaret  B. Lee, president of Oakton. “This program maximizes efficiency and affordability as students can start their college career at Oakton and complete their baccalaureate degree at the University of Illinois. The University of Illinois is a top public university and it’s an honor for Oakton to be one of the few community colleges selected to participate in this unique initiative.”
