Types of WebCT Courses

The following definitions are intended to help users fill out a WebCT Action Request Form. They are based on and are not to be taken as official Oakton policy.

Full-Online: Courses that meet primarily or exclusively via the Internet. Officially designated as 'online course' by the College

Hybrid: Courses which blend online and F2F. Some F2F time has been replaced by online communication and activities. Officially designated as hybrid by the College.

Web-enhanced: Conventional face-to-face (F2F) courses which have supplemental materials and resources available online.

FastTrack: Courses conform to normal FastTrack guidelines but are supplemented by online materials and communications.
