The Bookstore's main function is to provide textbooks, trade books and other materials for both campuses.

The services offered by this department include:

Regular hours are: Monday - Thursday 7:45 a.m.- 7:00 p.m.
Fridays 7:45 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Closed Saturdays and Sundays.


Revised hours for opening weeks of each semester:

  • Monday - Thursday, 7:45 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.

  • First Friday of opening - 7:45 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.

  • Second Friday of opening 7:45 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

  • Saturdays 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

Services
Text and Trade Books: All required and optional textbooks adopted by faculty are for sale. Please see the Textbook Cycle information below for more details.
Our tradebooks selection includes a variety of dictionaries, thesauri, study aids such as bar charts and videos, and children's books.
Computer Software: Current IBM and Macintosh computer software are available for sale to students, faculty and staff at educational prices. Proper identification is required.
Paper Supplies:

A wide selection of wirebound notebooks, loose leaf paper, paper for architecture, art and photography are in stock.

Writing Instruments: The Bookstore stocks a wide variety of pencils, pens, and markers.
OCC Logo Items: The OCC logo is available on a large selection of tee-shirts, sweatshirts, pens, notebooks, and mugs.
Greeting Cards: The Bookstore sells greeting cards by Recycled Paper Greetings.
Gifts A wide variety of gifts, journals and frames are for sale. The Bookstore also carries seasonal gifts.
Candy and Snacks: The Bookstore offers candy bars, cookies and crackers. In addition, the RHC Bookstore has a selection of beverages.
Postage Stamps: Both bookstores sell stamps in books of 10, limit two per customer.


Extra Services
Offer 10% discount: The Bookstore offers a 10% discount to faculty / staff / administrators, with proper ID, on all merchandise (except stamps, services, and sale merchandise).

Payment Options: Cash, check, Mastercard, Visa, and Discover are accepted at both bookstores. Telecheck is used to process all checks. A State driver's license or State ID is required to write a check.

Fall semester adoption letters sent to Chairs - March 15th
Summer adoption letters due to Bookstore - April 1st
Begin ordering textbooks for the summer semester - April 1st
Fall adoption letters due to Bookstore - April 15th
Begin ordering textbooks for the fall semester - April 15th (shipping is held until July 1st)
Preparation for spring semester buyback - May 1st
Spring buyback - 2nd week of May
Summer semester begins - 1st and 2nd weeks of June
Summer semester inventory - last week of June
Preparation for summer semester buyback - July 15th
Summer buyback - last week of July
Fall semester begins - last week of August and 1st week of September
Fall semester inventory - October 1st

Textbook Return Policy



  1. You must have your receipt for an exhange/refund.
  2. All sales are final after the first two week of class for a sixteen week semester.
  3. For classes less than sixteen weeks, the return period is one week from the date of purchase. All sales are final after the first week of class.
  4. Do not put any markings in a new book until you are absolutely sure it is the correct book. If the book is marked in any way, it will not be returnable.
  5. To be eligible for a refund, all shrink wrapped book/items must remain sealed and unopened.
  6. If you write a check for your purchase, you will receive a credit slip that is redeemable for cash in 14 days.
