View job listings sent to 11 partner community colleges* on our online job board after completing the registration process.  You can visit the Web site 24/7.  


  • Go to www.collegecentral.com/oakton.
  • Select either the Student, Alumni or Community icon, read the information and announcements on the “Welcome to the … Services for Oakton Community College” page.
  • Click on the Register Now link.
  • Create an Access ID and a Password that you will remember (do not use your Social Security Number).
  • Click on Continue Registration.


  • Complete all requested information on the registration form.  You only need to complete the fields marked with an *.
  • When your Registration is Complete click on My Home Page.


  • Go to www.collegecentral.com/oakton.
  • Select the Student, Alumni or Community icon
  • On the “Welcome to the … Services for Oakton Community College” page click on Log in at Student Central.


You can search for jobs on two unique databases: Oakton Community College/CCJobNet and College Central Network’s Jobs Central.

  • For Oakton Community College/CCJobNet listings, after you login select Search for Jobs/Opportunities Posted to My School, enter criteria specific to the type of job you are seeking, and click on Begin Search
  • For jobs in College Center Network’s Jobs Central, click on the link in the second gray box.  Keep in mind the jobs in College Central Network’s Jobs Central are NOT opportunities posted to Oakton Community College or CCJobNet, but to a national job database.

TIP: When conducting a job search be aware that by selecting several search criteria you are narrowing your search.  It is a good idea to conduct a focused search, but also try searching different criteria.

  • To monitor your job search, select View My Job Search History from the welcome page.
  • When you are offered a job, select Report Offers/Hires from the welcome page.

  • On the Welcome to the …Central page (scroll down) under Manage My Résumé click on Upload a Résumé and follow the instructionsAcceptable formats are Adobe Acrobat (.pdf), Microsoft Word (.doc), and Rich Text Format (.rtf).
  • When a new résumé is uploaded it replaces the old résumé.  Résumés that have not been updated in 18 months will be purged from the database.


  • In the red bar on the Welcome to Student Central page click on Settings.
  • Choose the Headline categories that are of interest to you.

* CCJobNet partner schools include Elgin Community College, Illinois Valley Community College, Joliet Junior College, Kankakee Community College, Kishwaukee College, Moraine Valley Community College, Oakton Community College, Prairie State College, South Suburban College, Triton College, and Waubonsee Community College.
