Online Ethics Training
The State Officials and Employees Ethics Act of 2003 requires all State
employees to participate in annual ethics training. The Ethics Act can
be viewed in its entirety at the Illinois Executive Inspector General's
website at www.inspectorgeneral.il.gov
The Office of the Executive Inspector General will provide Oakton Community
College with access to an online training course. The training program
is hosted at: http://www.etcc.il.gov/
The training window for all Oakton employees
was: October 18 - November 16, 2006.
The mandated ethics training is very important. Failure to complete
the annual ethics training will result
in the statutorily required reporting of your name to the Executive Inspector
General. The penalties of noncompliance will be determined by the Illinois
Executive Ethics Commission, based on authority granted within the law
in addition to any internal disciplinary action imposed by the College
(up to and including dismissal).
