Welcome to the Banner Implementation Site

Project Overview

After an exhaustive evaluation process, Oakton Community College has decided to implement the SunGard SCT Banner software package as the basis of its new student information system.  The Banner software will provide an integrated, web-enabled environment that will provide improved services to students, faculty, and staff; will support Oakton’s strategic plans; and will provide the foundation for Oakton’s continued growth.

The Banner software will replace Oakton’s current in-house, legacy system called OakSTAR.  OakSTAR has served Oakton well, but its operating environment and architecture are inconsistent with current technological standards and practices.
