Messenger allows each user to keep a separate list of addresses for individuals that he might contact frequently. These addresses can be a mix a Oakton and non-Oakton people. If you open the Netscape Address Book (either while creating a message or by clicking on the Communicator menu, you'll find the Personal Address Book is listed on the drop menu along with the other directories (Oakton College-wide directory, etc.). It is already set-up and ready for you to add names & addresses into it.
It is also from this "Personal Address Book" that you can create mailing lists.
There are several ways to add names to your Personal Address Book.

| Some of the above methods will pop up an address card like
the one shown here.
If a card does not pop up, you can go into your Personal Address Book, double-left click on an address and bring it up for editing. With the card in view, you can fill in additional details or make corrections (such as updating someone's email address or contact information). |
