Note: Using the above method to print multiple messages will
result in each message printing on a separate sheet.
What follows are two methods for printing multiple messages on a
continuous feed with no forced page breaks.
Method One
The first method essentially combines multiple messages into a single
one which you then mail to yourself before printing.
-
In the main Messenger window, select the headers of the messages you wish
to print (you can select multiple headers by holding the CTRL key down
while clicking).
-
Left-click on the Forward button.
-
A composition window will pop up. Type in your own email address and click
on Send. (You're forwarding the all the messages combined into a single
message to yourself)
-
When the Forwarded message arrives in your mailbox, open it and print it.
All headers and formatting from the original messages will be preserved.
Important: The file size of the forwarded composite message will
be comparable to the total of all the combined messages.
Method Two
For the second method, you must first save the group of messages
into a standard text (.txt) file. Headers will be included and they will
be in the same order as they are listed in the Messenger mailbox. This
method obviously gives you the option of taking the text file home and
printing it there if security is a concern.
-
In the main Messenger window, select the headers of the messages you wish
to print (you can select multiple headers by holding the CTRL key down
while clicking).
-
From the File Menu, select Save As.
-
Select File from the cascading menu that pops up.
-
In the dialog window, select the folder into which you wish to save the
file.
-
Give the file a name in the File Name field
-
In the Save As Type field, select Plain Text
-
Click on Save
-
Open up Notepad (a Windows Accessory program) or any word processing program
-
Click on the File Menu and select Open
-
Find the name of the file you created (step 4) and click on the Open button.
-
When the file opens, follow the word processor's normal printing steps.
