EPA Section 608 Certification

The law requires that a person intending to work on refrigeration systems must be certified for proper refrigerant usage. This course will prepare the student for the "EPA Section 608" certification exam. The student will be required to pay the examination fees.

CM Test Review and Preparation

This course reviews the 17 booklets prepared by the International Refrigeration Service Engineers Society. Each booklet has its test questions. Upon completion of the course the student can become a "certified member" upon successful completion of exam given by the society.

Prerequisite: A minimum of four years of work experience in HVAC&R field (written verification required).

This course covers some of the major animation packages available for the web, including GIF, Shockwave and Flash. Clinical Practicum II

This is a five-week clinical experience consisting of 40 hours a week in a clinical facility and weekly class meetings. The course provides opportunities for establishing and following individual patient treatments and programs. PTA goals are realized from experience in performing consecutive treatments. In addition insights are gained into medical, departmental, and institutional functions and organization. Sessions on campus include reinforcement of techniques and skills, information concerning the care of persons with disabilities, communication skills and discussion of the PTA role.

Prerequisite: PTA 107, PTA 110, PTA 161 and BIO 132 with minimum grades of C.

This course introduces students to pertinent issues of the physical therapy work environment. Work expectations, administrative and departmental organization, various types of clinical treatment pathways and progressions are emphasized.

Psychology of Group Behavior II

As a continuation of PSY 235, human behavior in the therapeutic group setting will be analyzed and interpreted, leading to the development of appropriate intervention strategies. Leadership styles and ways of working with different populations will be examined. Simulations of actual group sessions and role-playing of effective group counseling approaches will be conducted.

Transactions in Real Estate

This is a basic course for those seeking an acquaintance with the fundamentals of real estate practice and theory. It also fulfills the educational requirements for the Illinois salesperson's licensing examination and is a partial requirement for the broker's licensing exam. This course is a prerequisite for other real estate courses.

Advanced Real Estate Transactions

This course covers the contemporary issues of real estate agency relationships and responsibilities, disclosures, environmental issues and license law. It is approved as a supplement to RES 121 (Real Estate Transactions) granting the student the additional credit to fulfill the educational requirement for the Illinois real estate salesperson’s licensing examination. It is also a mandatory course for the Illinois real estate broker’s license.
