Roll out the Red Carpet...
. . . for the new Student Enrollment Center at Des Plaines. We’re excited about this new building project! Initial plans and drawings are complete, and the College is in the process of approving a final design: we’re moving ahead to make this concept a reality. Anticipated completion date is December 2012, and we hope to be fully operational by February 2013.
The Des Plaines Enrollment Center — part of the College’s overall Master Facilities Plan — is Phase II of our plan to create a workable space which houses all of the offices students need during their time at Oakton. Phase I was completed at the Skokie Campus in 2009.
Like its Skokie counterpart, the new Enrollment Center will allow Oakton to fulfill its “Students First” mission, providing students with one place to get assistance with all of their academic and personal needs.
The two-tier space — a combination of new construction and renovation — will be housed at the College’s busiest entrance near the site of the current Northwest Municipal Conference Center, near Parking Lot D.
Offices slated to be housed in the new Enrollment Center include:
- Advising Services
- Career Services
- Disability Services (ASSIST)
- Enrollment Services
- Office of the Cashier
- Office of Student Financial Assistance
- Recruitment and Outreach
- Registrar Services
- TRiO Program
