Welcome

Welcome to my Oakton home page. I have been an adjunct professor of History at Oakton since 1998, teaching United States History - HIS 111, HIS 112 and HIS 120, as well as non-western history - HIS 140 and HIS 216. I am currently teaching HIS 120 - United States History Since 1945 - as a online course using WebCT.

I attended the University of Illinois for my undergraduate degree and the University of Wisconsin at Madison for my masters in the teaching of social studies. Before coming to Oakton, I taught U.S. History Advanced Placement at Evanston Township High School and Adlai E. Stevenson High School. My non-teaching interests include my family, compiling family history and immigrant stories.
