Thomas Dolan was born in Milwaukee in 1932. He
holds B.A. and M.A. degrees in Philosophy from Marquette University.
Additional graduate studies at the University of Wisconsin and at
DePaul University. Thomas has been a member of the Oakton Community
College adjunct faculty for twenty-seven years.
Over the past 28 years, Thomas has taught courses
on: Introduction to Philosophy, Ethics, Business Ethics, Medical
Ethics, Logic, World Religions.
Thomas has previously taught philosophy at Edgewood College
(Madison), Loyola University, College of Lake County, Northeastern
Illinois University, College of St. Francis, Barat College, Columbia
College of Missouri.
Thomas has also served at DePaul University for thirty-eight
years in administration, currently as Associate Director of Student
Services in the Graduate School of Business. Worked for seventeen
years as a week-end orderly at Lake Forest Hospital.
Thomas is married and proud father of two daughters and grandfather
of three granddaughters. Enjoy gardening, stamp collecting, coin
collecting, playing chess, and hanging out with the grandchildren.
Planning on teaching for a few more years. Oakton Community
College is a wonderful place to be, with a great mix of young and
older students, and with a great diversity of backgrounds.
