Welcome to the World of Economics!Is the U.S. economy currently in a recession? Will the economy begin expanding before the end of 2008? The price of crude oil peaked at about $147 per barrel. It is approximately $121 per barrel today. Will its price continue to fall? What has caused the price of oil to decrease? What effect will this have on the U.S. economy? Why is the value of the U.S. dollar appreciate and depreciate on the international market? What effect does this have on the U.S. economy? In the aggregate does international trade bring more jobs to the U.S. or remove more jobs from the U.S.? These are just a few of the many questions that are examined in the study of economics.
