Welcome

Welcome to my Oakton home page. I teach in the Health Information Technology, Medical Billing Certificate and Medical Office Management Programs. I have been teaching at Oakton for eight years. I am also the HIT Advisor, helping prospective students through the application and admission process. I graduated from the Health Information Technology AAS degree program here at Oakton, and went to work in the Health Information Technology field in the hospital and physician group management areas.

I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Healthcare Leadership from National-Louis University, and I am a Registered Health Information Technologist (RHIT), and a Certified Coding Specialist-Physician, (CCS-P).

I love teaching and my goal is to provide the information to students, as well as build their confidence to take the next step to career or continued education. I prepare them for the ever changing healthcare field and help them enjoy the learning process.

Please visit the HIT website for information, application process, and admission requirements for each one of the programs offered.
