Welcome to the Fall 2006 Faculty Seminar. Chinese cultures are very abundant, broad, and primordial. Although they are quite distinct from the westerns cultures, the entire human beings have benefited from them from the Chinese ancient inventions (compass, paper, printing, and firework powder), delicious food to educational Confucianism. The sixteen presentations here can only be introductions to Chinese cultures. Even so, there are still numerous aspects of Chinese cultures that we don’t have time to cover, for example, Chinese operas, Fengshui, literatures, …For the abstract of each presentation and the bibliographical sketch of each presenter, please click on the title from the following list.
