WelcomeA little about me: I am dedicated to the field of women's and gender studies and enjoy critically analyzing how systems of patriarchy, sexism, racism, and homophobia permeate our lived experiences as people on a daily basis. A few of my favorite writers, scholars, and activists on the subject: bell hooks, Dorothy Allison, Angela Davis, Gloria Anzaldua, Jennifer Baumgardner, Amy Richards, Jessica Valenti, Judith 'Jack' Halberstam, Dean Spade, Julia Serano, and Kate Bornstein just to name a few. For my students: Students should also check email regularly (before coming to class) for important course announcements and related WGS and art events throughout Chicago and surrounding areas. Please feel free to
contact me with any questions you might have.
