ECE 180: The Exceptional
Child
Journal Assignments
-
See calendar link below for the specific due dates
-
From the list below, choose a film to view.
They may be movies you have seen before; you will certainly view them with
a different eye this time.
-
The films marked with an astrisk are waitng for you
to check out at IMS, those with a bullet mark are my personal stash that
I would be happy to arrange a loan, just let me know.
For each film:
-
Summarize the plot
-
Discuss your thoughts about views from others, character
development in relationship to what you know about this disability, what
your reactions were, etc
-
Relate the movie/character to what we have read in
our text. Be specific and thorough, remember to cite text or other
sources. Keep in mind the audience the film was intended for-the
realism projected (if not a documentary type film) Any paper missing
this information will have a minimum 10% deduction from you total score.
-
There is no designated length for these journals,
you should be able to summarize, provide your insight and backup sources
in about two to four pages.
Most of these films can be rented at your
local library or video store, those specifically located at the college
are marked*
