  • In this unit, you will learn how to:
  • Use appropriate components in formal reports
  • Format title pages, table of contents and bibliography
  • Research data using the Internet and library sources
  • Identify data needs based on document purpose
  • Set up a logical analysis, identifying relevant criteria and comparing/contrasting data
  • Identify graphic needs and design tables appropriate for presentation of specific data.
  • Prioritize criteria and draw logical conclusions
  • Distinguish data presentation from analysis in writing.
  • Write conclusions and recommendations.
  • Write  a report summary directed to an executive audience. (Executive Summary)
  • Write transmittal letters.
  • Identify specialized skills for effective collaboration.
  • Work effectively with peers and supervisor to produce a useful document.
  • Assess objectively and document individual contributions to a team project.
